Privacy Policy

Version 1.1 - Effective Date: July 15, 2026
Applicable to users in the United States only

Organization: Robotus ("we", "us", "our")
Entity Type: California Public Benefit Corporation recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
Jurisdiction: United States (State of California)

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information including your name, email address, phone number, and donation details (amount, method, timestamp).

Identity Verification Data: To access age-restricted or verified features, you may be requested to verify your identity. This process is securely managed by our third-party identity verification provider, Stripe Identity. Stripe collects images of your government-issued identification document, selfie photos, and biometric data to confirm authenticity. Robotus never receives, views, or stores your raw identification documents, full date of birth, or biometric patterns within our database systems.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to process donations, issue receipts, verify identity through two-factor authentication (2FA), cross-reference age requirements for platform compliance, and communicate important account and security-related updates.

When Stripe confirms a successful verification match, we receive only the verification status, the extracted legal names, and an age eligibility indicator. To enforce safety and prevent multi-account abuse, we process an anonymized, irreversible cryptographic signature (hash fingerprint) of the legal verification data. This fingerprint allows us to verify data uniqueness without storing any readable, sensitive personal identifiable information (PII).

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for marketing or promotional purposes.

3. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for legal, operational, and compliance purposes, including IRS record-keeping requirements. Cryptographic identity verification flags and uniqueness fingerprints are retained for the lifespan of the associated account ecosystem to maintain system safety.

4. Disclosure of Information

We may disclose personal information to service providers (such as payment processors and identity vault platforms like Stripe), to comply with legal obligations, or to protect our rights and users.

5. SMS Messaging & Mobile Privacy

By providing your mobile number, you acknowledge that Robotus may send automated one-time verification codes (2FA) and important security or account-related alerts via SMS.

Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent information will not be shared with any third parties.

6. Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including isolated service environments and environment-key secured data encryption. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Children's Privacy & Age Restrictions

Our services are strictly not directed to children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

Furthermore, specific advanced features across our platform explicitly require users to be at least 18 years of age. We leverage the Stripe Identity verification suite to atomically calculate and enforce age compliance thresholds prior to granting account access to these designated zones.

8. California Privacy Rights

California residents may request access to or deletion of their personal information. Because our platform utilizes irreversible cryptographic token fingerprint references to log security compliance data, exercising a deletion request will cleanly purge standard descriptive user profiles but will preserve system-wide identity clearance integrity.
